OUR BACKGROUND

Wood Tales is an extension of The Western India Plywoods Ltd., pioneers in the wood processing industry, founded in 1945 in the town of Kannur, Kerala. Having manufactured furniture and other home decor items since the 90s, Western India is known for its fine-quality products.

Wood Tales was first created as an initiative to reduce and reuse the waste material generated from the factory. This idea further grew into a platform where the philosophy of upcycling wood scraps, merged with the unique capabilities of Western India, could be delivered to our customers.

To upcycle wood scraps and leftovers into modern luxury home decor accessories of the highest quality at affordable prices. Through Wood Tales, we aim to pass down our 75 years of knowledge about the greatest resource mankind has been given and how to utilize it sustainably.
